Mission
An innovation policy
of product and process
The idea of creating a Service Center for food companies arises from the observation that in a global market the Italian food industry, in order to continue to maintain a relevant position, must necessarily pursue a policy of product and process innovation.
However, the vast majority of companies operating in the food sector are small and medium-sized enterprises which, despite having a high degree of flexibility as their strong point that make them suitable for carrying out a dynamic policy of innovation, have as their characteristic weakness the lack of economic resources and internal professionalism to adequately develop Research and Development, Marketing, Finance and Engineering.
The Center aims to make available to companies operating in the food sector, both large and small and medium-sized, equipped structures and different professionals that can integrate in a coordinated and synergistic way with the company management to offer assistance in identifying and create an innovative idea that responds to the expressed and latent needs of consumers and distribution.
TRANSVERSAL STRUCTURE
To the activities of the center can participate, in relation to their own skills, staff structured by the university, but also external experts from academic and non-academic origin.
MANAGEMENT AUTONOMY
The center has its own management body e board of directors.
PARTNERSHIP
Currently the CAISIAL is majority shareholder of Consortium M2Q which the public-private laboratory for the agri-food sector of the Campania Region is financed from the PON funds.
