Impianto polifunzionale di allevamento organismi marini

Inside the GUS 16 building there is a modern pilot multifunctional plant for the breeding of marine species of commercial interest.

Made up of three independent modules, it was designed to carry out experiments on the breeding of invertebrates and marine fish. The plant also houses an innovative marine aquaponics system which involves the breeding of marine teleosts and macroalgae of food interest. To date it is being used for an experiment on the use of food by-products in the feeding of hedgehogs (Paracentrotus lividus).
